3rd-5th Grade Division – 2026-2027

OBOB is a statewide reading program to encourage students to read in a group. Durham participates in the 3rd-5th Grade Division, with support from parent volunteers and our school librarian. Students are formed into grade-level groups in the fall and choose which of the book titles to read and become “experts” on. After Winter Break, the teams will face each other in friendly quizzes to test their knowledge, known as “battles.” The school team with the most points after multiple battles will represent Durham at the district competition.
